A little naptime help

March 30th, 2010 · 1 Comment

I’m honestly a little jealous of my youngest child. She not only has the opportunity, but is EXPECTED to take a nap every day. I wish people would give ME just one hour of peace every day…alas, I am the momma and there’s no rest for the wicked, um I mean, the independent lifestyle fabric shop owner.
Anyway, the little imp seems to have a hard time settling lately. I totally understand…I’m really not a sleeper by nature and remember many a nap time spent with a kindly preschool teacher rubbing my back. I thought the problem might be helped with a special friend to make naptime a little more cozy.
Ziva and Tasi Too
I made one of this darling little stuffed friend for another friend’s birthday and it came out so cute! I’ve been dying to make more and this was just a great opportunity. We used lots of pink fabrics (that being the Diva’s favorite color) and she promptly named it Tasi. I added the “Too” to her name, since we already have a handmade doll named Tasi. By the way, Tasi is a REAL person…she heads up the arts enrichment program at Aurora’s school and is just a fun and lively as the dolls named after her.
Love Tasi? You can make your own in two sizes with this Melly & Me pattern (Sangsang). If you haven’t tried a Melly & Me pattern, I think you’ll be plesantly surprised at how easy they are…I’ve done this little dolly in an afternoon and you can too! Be on the lookout for scrap packs coming soon!
