Patty’s name on some selvedge!

Ok, so you’re like who is Patty and why should I care? Well, Patty is a pal from eBay…we met IRL when a bunch of us went to the Portland Quilt Market. I had the pleasure of Patty’s company from the airport, to the Fabric 2.0 Party and she bunked with me Thursday night…Patty is so fun and warm and we hit it off immediately. And of course, it doesn’t hurt that she is a great designer and photographer, whose work I love to look at. We definetly have eclecticity in common…hahah, that’s not a real word is it? I was one of the priveleged and VERY FEW to get a look at her new fabric line when it was still IN the portfolio! Just luck really, but I have SO been waiting for everyone to see it.

Patty is the newest hottie designer in Michael Miller’s talent pool…see, that’s here, in the yellow bikini (hahaha!). Her line, Andalucia, will debut at Houston Quilt Market in October. Click her link up there and get a look, if you haven’t already…rumor is she will show us more later today.

Patty has taken her inspiration from this Moroccan influenced, southern Spanish region and created a rich color palate with some new shapes that I think will really mesh well with what we like to do at Fabrichound. My personal favorite is the flower pattern in the second picture…I don’t even normally like blues, but Patty’s are just as charming as the reds, so expect to see some blue in the store

I’d love to hear which patterns and colors you are liking…but don’t expect this fabric to show up until, oh, geeee, maybe Christmas? We order in October and it usually takes two months…well, it will be a fun fresh start to the new year, won’t it?
