Like that’s any different than the other days around here, LOL!

First, if you are waiting on an order, PLEASE bear with me! With the sale and the holiday weekend and Chops is in Singapore, so it’s all me, all the time *sigh* I’ll be caught up this weekend-hopefully later today! I’m working so hard to grow FabricHound into the super duper awesome fabric shop I know it can be, but OUCH! the growing pains! LOL!!!!

Now, I must admit, I DID take a little time…seriously, this dress took like 2 hours! So fast!!! Oh, sorry…anyway, I took a little time to make this CELINA from the new Farmer’s Market fabrics I already received. Super fun, because I almost NEVER am together enough to make something RIGHT AWAY! I think it’s even more impressive that I also used a brand new pattern…whew! That’s just too much excitement! LOL!

I used all four fabrics (detailed in the previous post) plus Berry TaDot, a bit of hot pink picot edge elastic to trim the pockets and a pink cherry iron on. All fabrics by Michael Miller. I also used 4 pink snaps instead of buttons for the straps. Next time, I’m going to try no fasteners on the straps and maybe a faux button. My machine makes the WORST buttonholes, LOL!

This dress is really cute, but I also think I will alter is next time so it’s not as open on the sides…I haven’t decided if elastic might do or if I will just make the underarm area smaller…

If you are a fan of the Vida Dress, you are sure to love this style as well. I put it together in about 2 hours, including tracing off the pattern. I wanted to add more details, but decided to keep it about Sandi’s fabrics AND to just do it, instead of waffling for hours on what details to add, then never finishing! hahahaha!

Aurora will choose names for the Farmer’s Market FQ and cherry iron ons later…2 sets will be given out, so you still have time to add your comment…oh that is the cherry up there too, isn’t it just PERFECT?

Oh, I also have the new studioTantrum FELIZ party dress pattern available for PRE-ORDER. This version will be in ENGLISH.

I am currently quoting shipment for the first week of August, but hope they will be here before that.
